Rosso di Valtellina is the Nebbiolo which best embodies the fresh and agreeable nature of alpine wines.
Using Nino Negri’s century-old experience only the vineyards able to ripen grapes producing soft tannins but not too high potential alcohol were selected.
The Nebbiolo grapes chosen for the wine are reasonably large but, most importantly, thick-skinned and robust and thus suitable for whole-berry fermentation.

GIÙEN ROSSO DI VALTELLINA D.O.C.
- The Rizeiri has belonged to the Durand Teyssier family since 1920. This ancient vineyard dates back to the 15th century and surrounds a charming 18th century château. The vineyard in the Montagne appellation covers around 25 hectares on a clay/limestone hillside to the north-east of St Emilion, and in the early 1990s received considerable investment, with much work done in the vineyard and the cellar.
