Michele, a native of Varese with Sardinian origins, after university in Pisa at the Faculty of Agriculture, began working as a laborer on the Tringali Casanova farm in Castagneto Carducci where peaches and strawberries were grown; wine, however, was produced in Maremma and sold as a blended product.

 

In the 1980s Michele founded his own company, deciding to devote himself only to wine, renting vineyards and cellar. Then he became an owner, built his own winery and led an iconic business in the Bolgheri area, where today two of his sons work full time and continue the path opened by their father.
